Heartbreaking: Mom and 2-Year-Old Daughter Struck Dead by Lightning While Running to Their Front Door

Kameron Glasgow’s wife Kenya, 31, and their 2-year-old daughter Kennedy were struck and killed by lightning in Margate, Florida, on Sunday afternoon. The sudden tragedy unfolded as the family was simply trying to get inside their home.

They had been heading indoors for dinner when the rain intensified. Kenya and Kennedy left the car and began running toward the front door to escape the worsening weather.

A neighbor heard a loud crack of thunder and saw an orange glow near the house. Moments later, both Kenya and Kennedy were found lying on the ground.

Kameron later spoke of his wife’s extraordinary character, saying she had the biggest heart and was his hero. He described their daughter Kennedy as infectious in spirit and noted that she could sing every word of Benson Boone’s songs.

The couple also has Kennedy’s twin sister, who was not struck in the incident. The surviving family members now face an unimaginable loss.

Margate police are still investigating the circumstances of the lightning strike. What are your thoughts on this heartbreaking tragedy?
