Texas Man Charged Over Alleged Threats Targeting TPUSA Event and Speaker

A Texas man has been charged with a third-degree felony for making terr0ristic threats after allegedly targeting a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) event and one of its speakers, Erika Kirk. Authorities say 26-year-old Jacob Wenske posted a series of threatening messages online and via email, raising concerns over the safety of the upcoming conference.

According to law enforcement, Wenske allegedly wrote that he knew “exactly where to bomb” following the announcement of the TPUSA event in San Antonio. His threats reportedly escalated, including messages such as: “Death to Erika Kirk and every single speaker there!!” and threats against “every single Turning Point rally and event.”

The TPUSA summit is scheduled for June 5–7 at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter and is expected to draw more than 2,500 participants. Organizers are taking the threats seriously and have implemented multiple security measures for the event.

TPUSA officials confirmed that security will include “enhanced, multi-layered” protocols, combining private security teams with local law enforcement to ensure attendee safety. The group emphasized that the precautionary steps aim to protect both speakers and the audience.

Authorities are investigating Wenske’s statements and social media activity to determine the full scope of the alleged threats. The third-degree felony charge carries serious legal consequences if he is convicted, though Wenske has not yet entered a plea.

The case highlights ongoing concerns over safety at political events, especially those drawing high-profile speakers and large crowds. Law enforcement agencies continue to urge vigilance and public reporting of suspicious activity ahead of major gatherings.
