Former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino just put Joe Kent in his place, calling out the ex-National Counterterrorism Center director as “Vindman 2.0” – a credibility-shattered opportunist peddling lies for attention and clicks.
In a blistering takedown, Bongino revealed he personally offered Kent a face-to-face briefing on the Butler investigation at FBI headquarters. Kent never showed up. “I offered Joe face-to-face and you know it, Joe, don’t bullsh*t people,” Bongino said. “I offered him a briefing on Butler. Did he show up? No way. He did not. That’s a fact, bro. You are a liar and a bullsh*tter. And you know it.”
Bongino laid out the facts the FBI uncovered: over 1,000 interviews, 13 devices analyzed, every account linked to Thomas Matthew Crooks examined – including 35 social media, bank, and online accounts. The home was fully swept, every device collected and accessed. No foreign ties, no hidden conspiracy. “Reports out there say we didn’t get into certain devices. That’s false. That is just made up,” he stated. “Joe would have known that if he would have read the article or just showed up at our office.”
Instead of facts, Kent pushes grift: vague hints of “hidden knowledge,” black-box nonsense, and baseless Iran links to the shooter – all while dodging real answers. Bongino called it out: “You see the grift though? Well, we don’t know nothing. I know something. Black box, I got it. Watch my podcast.”
Bongino hammered the contradiction – the same crowd implying Iran was behind the kid then claims Iran is no threat. “Which story is it? Get your story straight. We don’t have any evidence of that.”
The truth stands: Crooks was a lone lunatic, like John Hinckley or Arthur Bremer. The FBI did its job thoroughly. Kent skipped the briefing, then smeared the investigation for clout.
Dump everything Kent said on this. It’s garbage. America deserves facts, not Vindman-style lies from within the ranks. Bongino delivered them straight – no apologies.
