According to the Lafayette Police Department, Tippecanoe Superior Court Judge Steven Meyer was shot in the arm, while his wife, Kimberly Meyer, was struck in the hip. The shooting occurred around 2:15 p.m. at the couple’s residence on Mill Pond Lane, where officers later recovered shell casings.
Both victims were transported for medical treatment and are listed in stable condition. Authorities have not released additional details about the suspect or the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
The incident triggered a large-scale, multi-agency response.
