In a significant development for MAGA supporters, Trump’s Federal Communication Commission (FCC) has initiated an investigation into a radio station linked to George Soros. The station is accused of illegally broadcasting the locations of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents during undercover operations.
Soros acquired over 200 radio stations in 2024, many of which are Spanish-language, using foreign investment. This extensive network allows him to influence millions, and the investigation was sparked by broadcasts from San Francisco-based KCBS 740 AM, which revealed sensitive information regarding ICE activities in California.
The controversy centers on a broadcast where the host disclosed the specific make, model, and color of unmarked ICE vehicles, along with their locations. This information was shared in the context of a community defense project aimed at protecting immigrant communities from deportations.
The FCC’s Enforcement Bureau has sent a formal Letter of Inquiry to KCBS 740 AM, probing whether the station violated its FCC license by failing to operate in the public interest. FCC Chairman Brendan Carr has expressed gratitude to DHS and ICE agents for their service, emphasizing the importance of their law enforcement missions.
