BREAKING / Clintons Rejecting Calls to Testify Live in Epstein Hearings

The Republican-led House Oversight Committee is intensifying pressure on former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to testify in person as part of its investigation into Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. The probe is focused on examining connections, knowledge, and potential accountability related to Epstein’s criminal network.

Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer said both Clintons were subpoenaed several months ago but have not complied with requests to appear for live, in-person depositions. According to Comer, the committee has repeatedly attempted to schedule testimony without success.

Instead of appearing before investigators, the Clintons have offered to submit sworn written statements. Committee Republicans argue that written responses are inadequate and do not allow members to ask follow-up questions or assess credibility in real time.

House Oversight members say live testimony is essential given the seriousness of the allegations surrounding Epstein and Maxwell. They maintain that high-profile witnesses should be held to the same standard as others who have been required to testify under oath in person.

The standoff raises the possibility of further action by the committee if the Clintons continue to decline live depositions. Rep. Comer has indicated that additional steps could be taken to enforce the subpoenas as the investigation moves forward.
