Elon Musk has shredded the Ivy League playbook when it comes to hiring: No degree?
No sweat. In his latest post on X (formerly Twitter), Musk’s call for software engineers to help create his ambitious ‘everything app’ couldn’t be more direct: Your code matters, not your credentials.
Forget fancy diplomas or name-dropping top-tier firms on your résumé. Musk’s message was as clear as it gets: “If you’re a hardcore software engineer and want to build the everything app, please join us by sending your best work to code@x.com. We don’t care where you went to school or even whether you went to school or what ‘big name’ company you worked at. Just show us your code.”
For Musk, it’s not about degrees-it’s about delivery.
