A shooting at Madison Abundant Life Christian School on December 16, 2024, left three dead, including 15-year-old shooter Natalie Rupnow, and six injured. Police commended second-grader Nora Gottschalk, 8, for her bravery in calling 911 during the attack, which she described as “really scary” and “super sad.”
A teacher, a student, and Rupnow, who died by self-inflicted gunshot, were among the fatalities. Parents expressed both relief and sorrow, with Brit Grange saying, “My heart goes out to the families.”
