Lobbyist representing Minnesota State University arrested for making death threats to lawmaker, police say
41-year-old Michael Bohn from Woodbury, Minnesota was arrested after he allegedly sent text messages threatening to “shoot some of you [expletives] at the Capitol.”
Bohn serves as the Director of Public Affairs for a union representing faculty at Minnesota State universities.
He also previously served as the director of government and system relations for the Minnesota State University Student Association.
Bohn has reportedly donated to Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) campaigns, the Minnesota affiliate of the Democratic Party,
The threats come less than a week after Vance Boelter allegedly stalked and killed Minnesota state representative Melissa Hortman and her husband, and shot State senator John Hoffan and his wife multiple times.
