Social media users pounced on woke New York Attorney General Letitia James for persistent allegations of financial impropriety, which included thousands of dollars for private jet flights and a luxurious Martha’s Vineyard vacation. Her lavish spending has put her in hot water before, and sources indicate that she has paid almost $30,000 in fines for misappropriating campaign funds.

For background, Letitia James has long been a controversial figure, but rose to national prominence for her long history of conflict with President Donald Trump, such as when she attempted to ruin him financially in civil court. Since the 2024 election, she has threatened the president with legal action and drawn widespread ire from his supporters for her politically biased statements.

In any case, on March 24, 2025, an account on X posted an exposé on Letitia James’ wasteful spending. The post read, “Hello @NewYorkStateAG Letitia James — Since you’re so focused on how taxpayer money is spent, care to explain this? 🚨 INVESTIGATION: NY Attorney General Letitia James charged taxpayers $41,807 for private jet travel — and the public records raise serious red flags.”

Continuing, the post listed the suspicious details of James’ private flights. The post added, “Over a 13-month span: ❌ $41K in flights with no contracts, no flight manifests, and no justification ❌ Vendor not used by any other NY State agency ❌ Flight dates align with campaign events ❌ No reimbursements filed — but her campaign later paid the same vendor ❌ See below: payment dates, amounts, and the events they appear to coincide with.”

In the comments of this post, conservatives were incensed by the obvious graft. One of the comments asked other prominent New York Democrats to condemn the corruption, reading, “Why hasn’t @KathyHochulncompelledn @TishJamesnto honor a FOIA request? Tish isn’t above the law. Will @andrewcuomo support the public in having FOIAs honored by Tish James? She thinks only little people, oppponents, and @GOP members subject to the law.”

Responding to the same post, users mocked the woke AG for her corruption.
