Tennessee Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn said during an interview with Fox News that the biggest reason Democrats like Sen. Adam Schiff of California and others “fear” Kash Patel leading the FBI is because of his knowledge about their roles in perpetuating the “Russian collusion” hoax during President Donald Trump’s first term. Blackburn emphasized that Patel is well aware of the actions taken by figures like Schiff, which makes them fearful of his potential revelations. She explained that Patel holds the key information and they are concerned about what he might disclose to the American people.
Blackburn further elaborated, saying that Democrats are particularly fearful because Patel is committed to transparency in Washington. She agreed with guest host Charlie Hurt’s observation that Patel’s dedication to revealing the truth is a significant threat to those who have concealed parts of the Russia collusion narrative. This commitment to transparency is central to Patel’s reputation and why some political figures in Washington are uneasy about his potential to lead the FBI.
The conversation then shifted to how former Democrats like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard are seen by their former party. Hurt suggested that Democrats might feel betrayed by these individuals working with President Trump on common-sense solutions. Blackburn agreed, asserting that the frustration from Democrats stems from the fact that these former members of the party have found ways to collaborate with Trump on key issues, which infuriates them. She noted that the way they attempt to punish such figures is by withholding votes or slowing down their nominations.
Blackburn also discussed RFK Jr.’s potential role in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), highlighting his dedication to finding missing children and addressing critical issues with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and National Institutes of Health (NIH). She praised RFK Jr. for his ability to bring about transparency, especially in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic. Blackburn emphasized the importance of his work alongside other experts, such as Dr. Marty Makary and Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, in ensuring that the American people learn the truth about what happened during the pandemic.
