A veteran journalist known for investigating Jeffrey Epstein’s New Mexico ranch says she is leaving the United States after claiming she was targeted by what she described as “directed energy” attacks. The allegations, which have not been independently verified, have drawn attention online because of her years covering Epstein-related stories.

Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez, a former reporter for the Boston Globe and Los Angeles Times, said she abruptly left her New Mexico home after experiencing symptoms she compared to “Havana syndrome,” the neurological condition first reported by U.S. diplomats stationed in Cuba in 2016. She shared the claims in posts published on her Substack page.

Valdes-Rodriguez has spent years investigating Epstein’s Zorro Ranch in New Mexico, where she explored allegations involving possible intelligence ties, surveillance claims and other unresolved questions connected to Epstein’s activities. Many of those claims remain disputed or unconfirmed by public evidence.

In her online statements, the journalist claimed she experienced unusual physical symptoms that she believes were connected to advanced technology capable of targeting individuals remotely. She said she has since relocated to undisclosed locations while preparing to leave the country permanently.

While there is no public evidence confirming Valdes-Rodriguez’s allegations, directed energy technology is a real area of military and scientific research. Federal agencies and defense experts have studied such systems for years, and investigations into the still-debated Havana syndrome incidents continue to generate discussion among intelligence and national security officials.
