Fox News just exposed another jaw-dropping Democrat-linked fraud in California.
A man contracted to house up to 600 homeless people instead stole $23 million in taxpayer dollars to live like a king.
Reporter Matt Finn laid it out: “He was misusing tens of millions of dollars to live a luxurious life… for not only his mansion and car but a second home in Greece, luxury vacations, designer clothes, and private schools.”
Finn continued: “He was living the high life while people suffering uh homeless on the streets with no shelter, no food… People are literally dying. This guy is vacationing, buying homes, buying Range Rovers, going shopping.”
The feds say during an inspection he only had “canned beans and ramen noodles on hand” while claiming to feed the homeless three nutritious meals a day. He also lied about “fake vendors, facilities, and the homes actually getting meals.”
First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli confirmed the scale: “The U.S. Attorney’s office in LA says they are actively investigating at least 12 other similar fraud cases here in California… California was pushing this money out quickly. A lot of money went out the door with frankly very little vetting, very little checks and balances.”
