Authorities have identified the individual involved in the security breach at Mar-a-Lago as 21-year-old Austin Tucker Martin.
According to reports, Martin’s parents notified law enforcement that he was missing at approximately 7:51 p.m. Later that night, around 1:30 a.m., he entered the secured perimeter of the Palm Beach property while carrying a shotgun.
U.S. Secret Service agents confronted Martin after he crossed into the restricted area. Officials said he did not comply with commands, and agents discharged their weapons. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No Secret Service personnel were injured during the incident.
The Secret Service’s response has drawn attention for its speed and coordination. Authorities have emphasized that the situation remains under active investigation, with the FBI leading efforts to determine the circumstances and any possible motive.
Officials have not released additional details and say more information will be provided as the investigation continues.
