The San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy is ready to be the ‘Anti-Hero’. Purdy, who is currently preparing for the Super Bowl game against the Kansas City Chiefs, recently said he is ready to ruin the dreams of the Chiefs and disappoint Kansas City’s super fan and Travis Kelce‘s girlfriend Taylor Swift.
On Monday, the NFL officially kicked off the Super Bowl week with a media event. In the event, Purdy was asked by NFL Network’s Scott Hanson whether he was ready to disappoint Taylor Swift in the Super Bowl.
Patrick Mahomes, who was standing right next to Purdy, burst out into laughter as soon as he heard the question. Purdy, on the other hand, smirked and simply replied:
YesBrock Purdy replied
And then, Scott Hanson joked that the 14-time Grammy Award-winning singer might write a song about that. Check out the footage of Purdy’s reply attached below.
Swift was a part of plenty of topics during the media event on Monday. She has currently embarked on the international leg of her Eras Tour. Swift is scheduled to perform at multiple shows in Tokyo, Japan, including one just a day before the Super Bowl game.
However, she is expected to attend the big game to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce on his biggest night of the year. Kelce said he has promised Swift that he would bring some hardware from his end since the 34-year-old singer just won her 14th Grammy Award on Sunday.
Nonetheless, Brock Purdy is looking to spoil the Chiefs’ party with the help of his star-studded cast this Sunday. Purdy is one of the major reasons for the Niners’ success this season and he would look to finish their campaign on a high note despite heavy criticism.
Brock Purdy’s success doesn’t surprise the Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes
In his first full year as a starter, the 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy threw for more than 4200 yards and finished as one of the 5 finalists for the NFL MVP award. His performance might’ve shocked a lot of people, but Patrick Mahomes is not surprised.
While addressing the media at the Super Bowl opening event on Monday, the Chiefs’ 2-time All-Pro signal caller highly praised Purdy while labeling him a winner.
I’ve seen Brock play since college, I knew how good he was. I watched him play — I watch the Big 12 a lot so I watched him play a ton. He was a winner and he made plays happen all through his college career.Patrick Mahomes told the media
Nonetheless, Mahomes would look to defeat Purdy and the San Francisco-based football team this weekend. Mahomes is chasing his third ring but has a tough team ahead to defeat.
