An Office Depot worker who was caught on camera refusing to fulfill an order for flyers advertising a vigil for slain conservative firebrand Charlie Kirk has been fired, the company said.
The Boca Raton-based office supply chain said it was “deeply concerned by the unfortunate customer experience” that took place at its Portage, Michigan store.
“The behavior displayed by our associate is completely unacceptable and insensitive, violates our company policies, and does not reflect the values we uphold at Office Depot,” the company said in a statement to The Post Saturday.
“On behalf of the Company, we sincerely apologize for this regrettable situation.”
The retailer also said it had reached out to the customer as soon as it learned of the incident “to address their concerns and seek to fulfill their order to their satisfaction,” and vowed to continue investigating the incident.
Video of the Friday incident has amassed more than 4.4 million views since it was posted online Friday evening.
In the clip, a person can be heard asking a trio of store employees about an order they came to pick up.
“Yeah, so, we don’t print propaganda,” a woman who identifies herself as a store manager can be heard telling the customer.
