BREAKING: U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro has now begun an investigation into Senator Adam Schiff.
ABOUT TIME!
Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA) is sweating bullets today after immensely popular Fox News host Jeanine Pirro, now serving as the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, went on conservative commentator Benny Johnson’s podcast and suggested she has begun an investigation into him and his “shifty” actions while serving the public.
The investigation will look into Schiff’s potential involvement in leaking classified information related to Russia, a matter that Pirro told Johnson falls within her area of expertise.
In the interview, Pirro said, “Benny, I think you know that this is my wheelhouse. The difference between me and some others is that I don’t talk about what I’m investigating. When I have the evidence and enough to go forward, you will hear from me loud and clear.”
A statement like this indicates Pirro means business and is taking this matter very seriously, despite not revealing any specifics related to the current probe. And this isn’t the only trouble Schiff could be facing on the legal front.
WATCH:
The senator is also being investigated for alleged mortgage fraud, a story reported by Fox News. A member of President Donald Trump’s administration recently revealed that Schiff is under scrutiny for allegedly falsifying documents to secure a better loan, a crime for which Trump himself was charged by New York Attorney General Letitia James.
Ironically, she, too, is under investigation for that very same crime.
The Federal Housing Finance Agency expressed a variety of concerns about the practice, pointing out that it could undermine the mortgage system’s integrity.
Making Schiff’s life even more complicated, a Democrat whistleblower has come out of the shadows and alleged the California senator approved the leaking of classified information to damage President Trump during his first term at the height of the Russiagate scandal.
The whistleblower, who is a career intelligence officer, issued a warning to the FBI on several occasions in 2017 concerning Schiff’s actions. The Justice Department, however, neglected to look into the matter.
Now that the bureau is being led by Director Kash Patel, the situation is being looked into and has already started fresh debates concerning Schiff’s time spent on the House Intelligence Committee.
President Trump has been critical of Schiff for a long time, but has recently suggested that it’s time for him to start being held accountable for his actions and face the consequences of what he’s done.
