🚨 HUGE: VP JD VANCE has just issued a major warning to the United Kingdom, and Europe
“The thing that I’d say to the people of England or to anybody else, is many of the things that I worry most about, were happening in the United States from 2020 to 2024 – I don’t want other countries to follow us down what I think was a very dark path under the Biden administration.”
“The entire collective West, the transatlantic relationship, our NATO allies, certainly the United States under the Biden administration got a little too comfortable with censoring rather than engaging with a diverse ray of opinion.”
Despite making a number of contentious statements about the UK in recent months, JD Vance is on vacation in the country this summer. The US Vice President was hosted by Foreign Secretary David Lammy at Chevening House in Kent on Friday – a Grade 1 listed mansion complete with expansive gardens, a lake, and a maze.
The White House confirmed: “The Vice President and Foreign Secretary will discuss a variety of topics pertaining to the US-UK relationship.”
This meeting coincides with Mr Vance’s family vacation in the UK, where they plan to spend most of their time in the Cotswolds and are rumored to be visiting Hampton Court Palace. Despite his penchant for British vacations, the Republican VP has made several provocative remarks about the country since assuming his role.
Less than two months into his term, Mr Vance drew heavy criticism from European nations after he ridiculed the plan to deploy troops in Ukraine as part of a peacekeeping mission.
Mr Vance insinuated that Britain was “some random country that hasn’t fought a war in 30 or 40 years”, but denied it was a reference to the UK once the backlash began.
He stated: “If you want real security guarantees, if you want to actually ensure that Vladimir Putin does not invade Ukraine again, the very best security guarantee is to give Americans economic upside in the future of Ukraine.
“That is a way better security guarantee than 20,000 troops from some random country that hasn’t fought a war in 30 or 40 years.”
In the days leading up to his selection as Donald Trump’s vice-presidential candidate, Mr. Vance referred to the UK as the “first truly Islamist country that will get a nuclear weapon”.
At the National Conservatism conference, he addressed the crowd: “I have to beat up on the UK – just one additional thing. I was talking with a friend recently.
