Mike Johnson Breaks with Trump: “All Epstein Files Should Be Released”
The House Speaker calls on Justice Secretary Pam Bondi to explain her previous statements about the case of the former financier who died in prison
House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Republican, is urging the Department of Justice to release all files related to Jeffrey Epstein and is asking Justice Secretary Pam Bondi to clarify her earlier remarks about the case of the former financier who died in prison.
“I’m in favor of transparency. It’s a sensitive issue, but I believe all the documents should be released so that the people can decide,” Johnson said, breaking with Donald Trump’s position.
The former president is trying to quell the uproar surrounding Epstein, which has led many in the MAGA movement to call for Bondi’s resignation.
