In a new interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox News, President Trump opened up about his strained relationship with Elon Musk — praising the Tesla CEO, but suggesting Musk was upset over not getting special treatment.

💬 Trump on Elon:

“I think Elon is a wonderful guy… smart guy… but he got a little bit upset, and that wasn’t appropriate.”

💬 On what caused the rift:

“He just wasn’t getting what he wanted.”

Trump then shifted to Biden’s electric vehicle (EV) mandate, calling it a disaster in the making:

🔥 “Biden was so stupid… he said everybody has to have an electric car by 2030. How do you do that when you don’t have enough electricity?”

He slammed California’s energy failures as a warning sign for the rest of the country:

⚠️ “They want everybody in an electric car… then have blackouts every weekend!”

Trump reaffirmed his support for freedom of choice when it comes to cars:

✅ Hybrid
✅ Electric — “I love Elon’s cars”
But NOT government-forced mandates.
