HOLY SMOKES: Chicago’s failed mayor just accused Trump of trying to “eliminate Black existence”—and even CNN had to step in.
It was supposed to be a conversation about illegal alien crime.
But Brandon Johnson took it where he always does—race.
The embattled mayor compared Trump’s deportation push to the Civil Rights movement:
“Much like we fought for Civil Rights 60 years ago, we’re going to continue to make sure that whether you are black, brown, Asian, white, young, old, working people deserve to be prioritized.”
“And this misnomer that there’s division, you know, in consternation within communities solely based on this issue is just wrong.”
Then he went completely off the rails:
“He’s working to eliminate Black history.”
“He is trying to eliminate Black existence from this country.”
“But he’s also attacking the LGBTQ+ community.”
That’s when even CNN’s Pamela Brown had to cut in:
“Well—I wouldn’t say he’s trying to eliminate Black existence! But…”
As Johnson kept rambling, you could feel her discomfort through the screen.
When CNN has to fact-check your anti-Trump hysteria, you know you’ve lost the plot.
