Authorities say a man shoots a sheriff’s deputy 24 hours after his 18-year-old son was shot dead by police.

According to reports, a father murdered a sheriff’s deputy the day after a police officer shot and killed his 18-year-old son.

When 18-year-old Ryan Hinton was shot and killed by Cincinnati police on Thursday, May 1, as he was escaping from a stolen car, the terrible chain of events began.

According to WCPO, his father, 38-year-old Rodney Hinton Jr., was charged with using his vehicle to kill a sheriff’s officer only one day later. Prosecutors describe this as a deliberate and premeditated act.

Prosecuting attorney Ryan Nelson was blunt at an arraignment on Saturday. He added, “The driver lined up his vehicle in a calculated and premeditated manner, intentionally accelerated his vehicle,

And purposely caused the death of an on-duty deputy sheriff.” “Everyone present at the scene seemed to believe that he intentionally hit the deputy in an effort to kill him.”

The accusations are serious. The goal of the prosecution is to prosecute someone for aggravated murder. Up until a hearing on Tuesday, Hinton Jr. is being detained without bail.

Due to Ohio’s legislation safeguarding the rights of crime victims, the deputy, who had just resigned, remained to serve as a special deputy.

Around 1:00 PM on Friday, the event happened when he was directing traffic close to the University of Cincinnati, where graduation ceremonies were in progress.

Police Chief Teresa Theetge said, “The officer was just out doing his job … for what was supposed to be a glorious day for many.”

“I have been briefed on the ongoing investigation and am sickened by what appears to be an intentional act of violence,” said Ohio Governor Mike DeWine,
